*** AN INTERACTIVE VERSION OF
OUR GEDCOM FILES IS NOW ONLINE! *** Who We Are...The Beach Family Journal is a quarterly genealogical newsletter devoted to all persons named Beach or Beech in the U.S. and Canada. It was begun in 1993 by your editor, Eugene H. Beach, Jr., in an effort to continue the work of Alfred H. and Cora M. Beach, publishers of the original Beach Family Magazine (1926-1932), by providing a forum for the presentation and preservation of information about the family and its history. What We Do...Each issue of the Beach Family Journal presents a mix of Beach-related information contributed by your editor, subscribers and correspondents. This includes reprints of accounts found in old local histories, biographies, lineages, in-depth articles, shorter notes, obituaries, census data, vital statistics and queries. While the focus is on tracing the descendants of Richard Beach1, John Beach1, and Thomas Beach1 of early New Haven, Connecticut (the so-called "New England Beach Family"), the Beach Family Journal also regularly includes items related to other Beach families in the colonial South, more recent immigrant families from the British Isles, and even Beach families with Germanic roots. Those with Adobe® Acrobat® Reader can view the complete text of several early issues on our PDF Files page, while other articles and notes of interest are posted on our Sample Items page. Also check our Files To Download page where you will find zipped (compressed) Gedcom files with descendants of the three New Haven brothers and other Beach-Beech families. Your Editor...Your editor, Eugene H. Beach, Jr.10 is a descendant of Thomas Beach1 of early New Haven and Milford, Connecticut [i.e., Eugene10, Eugene9, Ulysses8, Davis7, Michael6, Michael5, Linus4, John3, John2, Thomas1]. He has long been interested in Beach family history; having traced his own lineage as a teenager. Over the past 35 years he has collected original editions and/or reprints of several previously published Beach genealogies and has maintained a regular correspondence with other Beach family researchers by mail, email and postings to on-line bulletin boards and mailing lists.
